ABOUT CHEF

Dear Guest

I am Krishnapal Negi, chef-patron of Atithi.

'Atithi' means guest, the word is taken from an ancient Sanskrit verse 'Atithi Devo Bhava' which simply means – consider the guest as god. My team and I strive to run Atithi on this ethos, by providing our guest authentically prepared quality Indian food with a friendly and efficient service.

I was born in Mumbai and I began my culinary career at the prestigious Oberoi Hotel Group in India where I gained extensive experience whilst working with several Indian master chefs. I then moved on to work in some of the most prestigious Hotels and Restaurants, around the world including The Oberoi grand Calcutta, Le Saint Geran Mauritius, Yatra in Mayfair and the Micheline starred Rasoi Vineet Bhatia in Chelsea, these establishment also gave me an opportunity to cook for royalty, presidents and celebrities.

I Came to Twickenham in 2004 as head chef to open Tangawizi, where I won the Michelin BIB gourmand award, I then moved to Swagat in Richmond and in 2011 I opened my own restaurant Atithi.

Great care has been taken to ensure our menu reflects the full diversity and vibrancy of Indian cuisine and I hope you enjoy the food, the same way I enjoy cooking for you.

For all rugby games at the Twickenham stadium we only offer a set menu for all pre game bookings.

OUTDOOR CATERING

We provide a be-spoke catering services for those intimate occasions for friends and family in the comfort of your home, from marquee events in your back garden to smaller occasions in your home. We will provide everything required to create a superb restaurant experience in your own home. All we need is a small area to set-up our kitchen and for you to invite your guest, relax and enjoy the excellent food and service on offer and if the weather is good, why not go Alfresco!

We also offer live cooking stations, from grilled kebabs to breads, from Chaat counters to dosa all cooked in front of your guest.

A private room is available at Atithi for up to 25 guests.
